Women’s Retreat at Camp Berea

Refresh. Reset. Restore.

A time for women to disconnect from daily life and reconnect to God and each other

As women, the demands of life often keep us focused on what is urgent instead of what is eternal. The roles we play and the responsibilities we carry can leave us stuck on autopilot and longing for something deeper—a deeper knowledge of God and deeper connections with others.

Women’s Retreat is your time to find restoration for your soul and reset your rhythms for more flourishing all year long. Enjoy a beautiful escape into nature, powerful worship and teaching, and a communal spirit like no other as you connect with God, yourself, and others at one of New England’s largest Christian women’s events.

Women’s Retreat is for you if you want to:

  • Disconnect from what is normal and reconnect to what matters
  • Reset from your daily life and establish a new rhythm
  • Worship God in community and experience deeper spiritual connection
  • Build relationships with Christian women from all around New England
  • Be filled with fresh spiritual and emotional energy to pour into your family, friends, and coworkers
  • Gain a new perspective that you will carry with you all year long

Perfect for individuals, friends/families, and church groups!

What to expect at Women’s Retreat

Wake up slowly to the sound of birds chirping and sip a cup of coffee by the lake before a morning devotional in a beautiful outdoor setting. Then, you will connect with other women over a delicious breakfast (that you didn’t have to cook) before heading off for the day’s adventures.

Days at Women’s Retreat are a mix of fun activities, spiritual encouragement, and time to pause, breathe, and be. Morning and evening sessions include biblical teaching from a featured speaker, powerful worship, and lots of laughter and fun. Between sessions, enjoy classic camp activities like canoeing and archery, topical seminars, and special events like flower arranging or soap making, curated just for you.

Whether you want to get your heart pumping in the great outdoors or lounge in an Adirondack chair with a good book, all activities are optional and every detail is planned for you so all you have to do is show up and let God speak to your heart.

What’s included:

  • Cabin-style accommodations for two nights*
  • All meals, from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast
  • Daily chapel sessions with worship and teaching from our featured speaker
  • Access to all camp activities (canoeing, high ropes course, archery, riflery, etc.) + special activities curated just for you

*Off-site rates are available for those who do not want to stay at camp but would like to participate in meals and activities.

Your New England getaway at Camp Berea

Drink deeply from the Living Water on the shores of Newfound Lake at our beautiful camp and retreat center. Everything you need can be found on-site, and our team is here to serve and pour into you.

Where you will stay:

Your retreat includes cabin-style accommodations that house up to 12 women and that feature an en suite bathroom (think grown-up summer camp with your besties!). We also offer private accommodations for those who prefer more personal space. Availability is very limited for private rooms, so we recommend registering early if you want a private room.

If you don’t want to stay on-site, you can buy a retreat-only ticket, where you arrange your own accommodation but have access to all sessions and activities.

When does Women’s Retreat take place?

Women’s Retreat takes place from Friday evening through Sunday morning. There are three dates offered in September each year, so you can choose the weekend that works best for your schedule.

What are the arrival and departure times?

Check-in begins at 5:00pm Friday, and the retreat wraps up by 11:30am Sunday.

What ages can attend Women’s Retreat?

Women’s Retreat is designed with women 18+ in mind, and no one under 18 is allowed to attend the retreat without a parent or guardian. Mothers can bring their teenage daughters with them at their discretion (minimum age to attend is 13 years old). We also offer a Mother/Daughter Retreat in the spring for mothers and their children/teens.

Read more about our adult retreat age policy here.

What type of accommodations are available?

Most attendees stay in cabins with up to 12 other women. This is an amazing way to make new friends, connect deeply with others, and experience the unique communal atmosphere of Women’s Retreat. There are bathrooms inside each cabin, and we accept roommate requests for those coming with friends or a church group. Each attendee is responsible for bringing their own bedding.

We also offer smaller group and private accommodations for those who prefer more personal space. Availability is very limited for private rooms, so we recommend registering early if you want your choice of accommodations.

If you don’t want to stay on-site, we also offer retreat-only tickets, where you arrange your own accommodation.

Can you accommodate roommate requests?

Yes, if you’re coming with friends or family, you can request to be housed with them. We also do our best to host church groups together in the same cabin.

I don’t know anyone else who is going. Will I feel awkward if I come by myself?

Not at all! Getting away solo can be a wonderful way to recharge, and there are so many opportunities to connect with other women in your cabin, at chapels, during fun activities, or over a meal. The communal vibe at this retreat is pretty unique, and one of our attendees’ favorite parts is the opportunity to connect with other Christian women and make new friends from around New England.

How do I bring a group from my church?

We love church groups of all kinds! If you’d like to bring a group to Women’s Retreat, fill out this form to let us know you’re coming. We’ll reserve a block of housing for your group. The women in your group will still need to register and pay individually to attend.
